Four blood-sucking princes. A beautiful anarchist. One dangerous mistake.
To the vampires who dominate each quadrant of the Lydian Dynasty, Iâm only known as âBlackbirdââa masked vigilante who, at nineteen, is already public enemy number one.
To whatâs left of humanity, Iâve been called a superhero, a title I neither welcome nor deserve. My only objective is to offer the enslaved what was stolen from us â¦
However, a failed plan lands me in the last place I imagined, at the mercy of all four Dynasty princesâJulian, Levi, Roman, and Silas. Theyâre monsters, each with a heart rumored to be as cold as his icy skin. And whatâs worse, thanks to the slip-up, my fate is suddenly theirs to decide.
Itâs up to them whether Iâll swing from the gallows, and Iâve given them every reason to sentence me to such a fate. Yet, I felt something unexplainable when our paths first crossed.
Something that gives me hope.
We should be one anotherâs worst nightmare. Only, Iâm beginning to wonder if, somehow ⦠these four princes might be my saving grace.
Hey! I'm Rachel, a Michigan native with a passion for writing. I have several young adult releases on my schedule. Those releases will be within the genres of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and dystopian fiction, so I hope you stick with me and check out my future work!
Aside from the many hours spent happily pecking away at my keyboard, I'm a wife, mother of three, an avid reader, and a gamer with a penchant for all things Sims. There will always be a keyboard at my fingertips and I look forward to the words that will flow from them for many years to come. As a self-proclaimed nerd, there's not a more satisfying career choice I could have made. Happy reading!

âInteresting ⦠A prince adored by the public, avoids them every chance he gets.â
In my peripheral, I caught the glint of white teeth when he smiled.
âWill that be the headline for your next article?â
My mouth curved up despite my best efforts to stop it. âI suppose if I had any interest in writing about you, it could be.â
âOuch.â He chuffed a short laugh as his hands left the banister and slipped inside his pockets.
âI meant what I said about my being here having nothing to do with you,â I reminded him, hearing the flirty undertones I didnât mean to let slip when adding a coy, âYour Highnessâ.
A breath hitched in my throat when he turned, facing me full-on. I refused to do the same.
âIs it bad I wish that werenât true?" he asked. "That I wish you had come here for me?â
The question left me speechless. To keep from letting him see how he affected me, I tried distracting myself by naming the different flowers I could spot from here.
âIâm not usually so forward, but ⦠youâre beautiful in this light, with the moon high and clear,â he stated boldly. âAlthough, I imagine Iâd say the same even if we were standing in a storm.â
I was suddenly aware of soft music floating to this terrace through the open doors of the one below, from the gala where Julian had just whisked me away. His formidable body moved closer and I stared when a hand was extended toward me.
âMay I have this dance?â

A Tangy Christmas Kiss
She moved forward and peered into the area where heâd stepped. Clambering over his feet and climbing up his shins with tiny paws, whining and crying for attention with miniscule muzzles and teensy mouths, were the cutest little bundles of fur Mel had ever seen. She wasnât really much of a pet person but she had to resist the urge to squeal at how cute they were, and when Domingo bent and picked two of them up, cuddling them and laughing as they clamored to lick at his chin with pink tongues no bigger than her finger tip, Melâs heart melted into a big puddle on the floor. He may be brusque with her, but he showed a much gentler side with the puppies.

Kade knows what it is to suffer. He knows what it's like to lose everything and everyone around him.
His job in a Stormer Unit guarantees not just his survival in the decimated country of Azetaria, but his sister Meg's. Even if it means facing the Numachi warriors baying for his blood, he'll do what it takes to keep her safe.
Hadley is alone and surviving the only way she knows how. By hiding where predators won't find her and scavenging enough just to keep her alive.
When desperation drives Hadley to search for her missing brother, she mistakenly accepts the offer of recruitment into the Stormer's camp, only to be partnered with Kade and sent as a scout into Numachi territory.
The intimidating young Stormer may just know where her brother has gone. But can they stay alive long enough to find him?
Kade’s footsteps were heavy as he approached and stared down at her. “This isn’t going to work. You need to be wearing something lighter, or we’ll never make it to Lazen.”
Hadley tried for a weak shrug but could barely muster the energy. “What do you suggest?”
Kade raised an eyebrow, and a deep frown appeared on his face as he considered her. He continued to stare at her as she sat, legs sprawled out on the ground. “The best I can come up with is cutting your clothing.”
His eyes narrowed as he searched the length of her. A bolt of alarm jostled her into thinking. “How much are you cutting off?”
Kade dipped his chin, his voice low as he spoke. “Enough, so you don’t keep fainting, enough, so you still pass for a boy.”
He reached for a knife and wore the slightest of smiles as he unsheathed it. “Let’s hope you have hairy legs then eh?”
Hadley’s lips split into a smile before she remembered she was annoyed with him for being so smug.
