1 gossip writer + 1 A-list movie star = 1 fake relationshipâ¦or does it?
After breaking a story that rocks Hollywood, Talia is the top gossip writer around. One night will put all of that into question. The writer becomes the story when she gets caught doing the walk of shame from A-lister Zee Jaxonâs home.
To save both of their reputations he suggests a fake relationship. Pretending should be easy. It shouldnât mean the fake feelings become real. Accepting the real feelings means the lies theyâve told are even harder to hide.
When the truth comes out can their love survive or will everything just fade to black?
Excerpt
âI forgot to tell you something.â Zeke said as they walked hand and hand to baggage claim.
âWhat?â
âPlease donât hate me.â He kissed their linked hands.
âWhat did you do?â
As Zeke and Talia turned the corner to pick up their bags Talia saw a giant poster being held by a tall muscular guy wearing a too tight t-shirt and dirty jeans. Scrawled on the poster were the words she was going to have etched on her brotherâs grave.
WELCOME HOME, TALLY!
SORRY PORN DIDNâT WORK OUT FOR YOU!
GLAD YOU GOT THE HELP YOU NEEDED IN REHAB FOR THE FIFTH TIME!
âYou asked Rex to pick us up?â
Zeke bit his lip trying not to laugh at the poster. When Rex saw the poster had gotten their attention, and many others around them, he flipped it over.
WELCOME HOME, ZEKE!
I GOT THAT MEDICATION FOR YOUR STD!
HOPEFULLY THE SORES ARE NO LONGER LEAKING!
âIâm seeing my mistake now.â Zeke said.
âI bet you are.â
Rex strode over to Zeke and Talia. He dropped the poster and opened his arms wide. Talia walked up to give him a hug, but landed a swift punch to his nuts. Air whooshed out of his lungs. Rex collapsed on the ground. Fellow passengers walked around him. The granny from the plane caught my eye and gave me a thumbs up.
âHello, Rex.â Talia stood with her hands on her hips watching her brother struggle.
âIâmâ¦.tellingâ¦mama.â
âGo ahead. Then Iâm going to show her the poster you made.â
âFine.â Rex managed to get off the ground.
âThanks for picking us up, ass wipe.â Zeke said.
âNo problem. How could I strand my best friend and sister at the airport? Especially when they are now seeing each other.â Rex looked at them skeptically.
âWhat car did you bring?â Talia changed the subject before questions could be asked.
âThe pick-up.â
âWhat? Why didnât you bring mamaâs SUV?â
âWhy would I? My pick-up is fine.â
âItâs a bench seat. â
Rex smirked at her. âYep. We will be getting real close for the next hour.â
âHour? It takes close to an hour and a half to get to Grandin. How fast do you plan on going?â Talia stopped and looked to her brother.
âYou didnât tell her?â Rex asked.
âI didnât have a chance. We had a bit of an issue on the plane.â
âWhat happened?â
âNever mind that tell me what is going on.â Talia stared at Zeke.
âWe are going to go to my farm. Itâs a half hour outside of Grandin.â
Talia glared at both of the men in front of her. Turning on her heel she grabbed her bag and marched off toward the short term parking. She easily found his beat up truck. Slinging her bag into the bed she stood next to the passenger door.
âIn a hurry to get to your love nest, Tally?â Rex asked.
Talia ground her jaw as she stared at her skeptical twin. When Zekeâs arm wound around her waist, pulled her close and kissed her temple Rex groaned and wrenched the door open.

Title: The Crane Diaries: Homecoming Author: Apryl Baker Genre: NA Horror/Paranormal Cover Designer: Deranged Doctor Design Publisher: Limitless Publishing, LLC Publication Date: September 11th, 2018 Hosted by: Lady Amberâs PR
Blurb:
New Orleans is a city known for its paranormal historyâand itâs the place Emma Rose Crane, AKA Mattie Hathaway, has come home to.
This is a chance for her to start over. In New Orleans, she's welcome, and her abilities to see ghosts isn't so freaky.
But the whole thing would be a lot easier if she werenât faced with a family she barely knows and starting college, all while dealing with the loss of someone she loved.
Can she really escape her past and be semi-normal? Even with her sister Mary and best friend Eric by her side, it's going to be a wild ride once she agrees to help Mary's new friends investigate a "haunted" house.
The houseâs new occupants are terrified, and the ghost seems to be attacking their little girl, leaving everyone desperate for answers. Emma isnât sure what to think when she discovers Dr. Lawrence Olivet was also invited to investigate.
Will her gifts be enough to save the family that is currently being stalked in their own home? And when some of her own familyâs long-kept secrets come to light, will her fresh start be over before it even begins?
So who am I?
Well, Iâm the crazy girl with an imagination that never shuts up. I LOVE scary movies. My friends laugh at me when I scare myself watching them and tell me to stop watching them, but who doesnât love to get scared? I grew up in a small town nestled in the southern mountains of West Virginia where I spent days roaming around in the woods, climbing trees, and causing general mayhem. Nights I would stay up reading Nancy Drew by flashlight under the covers until my parents yelled at me to go to sleep.
Now, I live in a small town in West Virginia where I entertain my niece and nephew and watch the cats get teased by the birds and laugh myself silly when they swoop down and then dive back up just out of reach. The cats start yelling something fierceâ¦lol.
I love books, I love writing books, and I love entertaining people with my silly stories.

Broken Pieces
-- EXCERPT: I roll over on to my stomach with my feet in the air and look out the window. “Oh, I didn’t tell you? I am supposed to help with the bed and breakfast and bake treats for the guests.” “When did you start baking again?” “I was helping Ivy out at the diner.” “I’m so happy for you Rae! You loved baking when you were younger and now…” I start to tune her out as I stare off into the distance outside. I see a very half-naked man a few hundred feet away hosing himself off. The sun glistens off the water on his chest as it drips down from his hair. He starts to take his boots off which are covered in mud and then realize his pants are also muddied up. His hands go for the button of his jeans and there is no way he is just stripping down outside where anyone could see him? Sure enough, he turns around and strips his jeans off. And oh god he is completely naked now. I thought he was attractive before with those abs, but those legs and that ass, I almost want to go outside and grab it. Who cares about Easton’s no boys rule, right? What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him. “Earth to Raelynn!” I snap out of my daze when I hear Tacoma scream into the phone. “Oh, ugh, sorry. I got distracted.” “By what?” “Ughh, nothing. Yeah, just a bird outside.” “Really? A bird? I said your name five times before you answered,” she says. “Well, it was a really big bird, oh my god!” I squeal as I see Brooks turn around and I get a full frontal. Definitely big but not a bird. “What the hell, Rae?” “Holy shit!” I still am at a loss for words as I stare at the perfectly sculpted specimen of a man showering off outside. He suddenly looks up toward my window and smirks at me as he lets his hand travel down his body. I squeal again and fall off the bed with a thunk onto the floor. “Rae, what is wrong with you?” Tacoma shouts into the phone. I am at a loss for words but manage to get out big and naked. “A big, naked bird? Well, that’s a first. Maybe you should take a picture.” “Oh my god, Tacoma he saw me staring,” I mutter into the phone embarrassed. “Oh, so this big naked bird was really a man, huh? He get your feathers in a twist?” “Shut up! He saw me watching him. He was hosing himself off. Outside. Naked!” “Well, that is infinitely better than hosing off with clothes on.” “But he saw me and then he started touching himself.” “Please don’t tell me it was an old man. That is just wrong.” I crawl toward the window trying to see if he is still there. “No. Not old.” “Well, who was it then? I am dying over here, Rae. I am literally looking out the window at a brick wall and you are seeing young, attractive men getting dirty with a watering hose.” “It’s one guy Tacoma. Not a whole slew of them.” “Well it should be. I’m gonna pretend that it is. Now fess up, who is it?” “Brooks Anderson.”
GIVEAWAY! A Woman Like Her
-- EXCERPT: He had to run to catch up with her in the hallway. “Seri, hold up,” he shouted, as she rushed to the elevator and jammed the button. “We have to look like a couple, if anyone’s watching.” “Fine, we’re a couple having an argument,” she said, pushing past him into the elevator and crossing her arms. He laughed. “Seriously, we have to find a way to get along,” he said. “And to that end, I should apologize. Earlier, I acted—” “Like an asshole?” He smiled. “Exactly. And I’m sorry. It was unprofessional and inappropriate.” “. . . and you’re worried that I’m gonna file a report with your supervisor?” “No, I’m worried that I fucked up our working relationship.” “I didn’t realize we had a working relationship.” “Well, we do now. I hope we can at least be civil.” “I’ll be civil on Saturday night,” she said as they arrived in the lobby. He chased after her, waving to Pete before he cut her off to push open the door for her. She brushed past him and started down the block at a brisk pace. He trotted alongside her and finally managed to grab her hand. She stopped to look at him. “Why are you doing this?” “I told you,” he whispered, squeezing her hand too tightly when she tried to pull away. Her petulant attitude was risking his life as much as hers. “We have to look like a couple. For your safety, if nothing else.” She nodded and stopped struggling against his hand. “Fine. But do we have to talk?” “No,” he relented. They walked along in silence for a couple of blocks. He could feel the tension buzzing off of her, like static electricity. Just a few hours ago, she’d been ready to fuck him. Now she despised him. It wasn’t exactly a feeling he was comfortable with. And that in itself annoyed him. He was doing his job. There was no reason to feel guilty. “You need to be able to trust me,” he finally said, to which she snorted. “Okay, I get it—I have no right to expect that,” he sighed. “But whatever you think of me, I’m good at my job. I really am a nice guy, you’ll see. I swear I’ll never let anything, you know, happen to you. You have my word, not that it means much to you.” She looked at him closely as they stopped in front of her building. “Trust is not my strong suit. Don’t ever lie to me again, Boy Scout.” “I won’t. Promise. And I quit after Cub Scouts.” That worked. He could tell she was trying not to laugh when he leaned in, putting his lips against her ear. “Now let’s pretend we made up, shall we, sweetheart?” He put his hand on her jawline, annoyed when it trembled slightly, beyond his control. He touched his lips to hers, gently, teasing. She sighed, almost like she was annoyed, but opened her mouth and leaned into the kiss. She even gripped his T-shirt. He smiled against her as his tongue met hers. One hand slid down to her ass and she arched into him for a second, pressing her whole body against his . . . and bit down hard on his bottom lip. He winced, tightening his hand on her hair until she stifled a grimace of pain. He let go and stepped back, smiling. She smiled back. “You’re not forgiven,” she whispered, then turned and trotted up the steps, disappearing into the door without looking back. He braced his hand against the stoop railing, trying to catch his breath. He was in trouble. GIVEAWAY!

SPANK: Odyssey
-- EXCERPT: After shaking his head back into consciousness, Domino turned his face toward the person onto whom he’d been pushed by his most disliked traveling companion. He laid his eyes upon a pastel-yellow bishop-sleeve shirt with ornamental gold patterns around the edges and a muscular dark-skinned chest that peered from underneath. His face transformed into a look of otherworldly dread as the man’s lips smiled back at him. “Gah!” Domino shrieked, falling back onto the floor. “You!” he barked, pointing at the man with his finger and glare. “I-it’s all right, friend! It’s only me!” said the man, standing up from his chair to help Domino. His jaw was square and masculine, yet his smile was kind. His skin was a warm copper-brown color. He had a buzz cut, an athletic build, and a large sword sheathed away on his back that hung off him by several leather straps. The whole world recognized him and his raging success in the endless battle against evil fiends across the globe. He was a hero by profession. Admired by many, despised by the rest, but most of all, he was feared. He was Zephyr Hugo. Domino slapped Zephyr’s hand away and stood up by himself. “What? You came here to rub your giant magical sword in my face?” “Of course not.” Zephyr chuckled, averting his bashful gaze. “I—I mean…I could show it to you if—” “Why did you come to bother me while I’m at work?” argued Domino. “No—why did you come to bother me--period?” “Well, uh…” mumbled Zephyr. “I know how much you hate charity, so I realized the best way to help you would be to pay you in exchange for your noble services.” Domino’s face turned blood red. His eyes opened wide from the sheer amount of shock and embarrassment coursing through his body. Zephyr presented him with a heavy coin pouch, smiling and blushing like a prepubescent boy confessing his feelings to his crush. “Ooooooo!” the nearby spectators cheered. Domino glanced at the drunkards with a fierce glare, wishing he had the balls to throw a beer stein at each and every one of them. Zephyr continued to gaze at Domino with his hand stretched out, holding the coin pouch in front of him. “Stop staring at me like that, you freak!” Domino shouted at him, his voice revealing a hint of anxiety among all the anger and discomfort. “I’m not gonna fucking sleep with you!” “O-oh, no!” Zephyr replied, pulling back the pouch and placing his hand on his chest, unable to look Domino in the eye anymore, let alone keep his smile subdued. “You misunderstood me. I—I merely wanted to compensate you for your performance. Isn’t that how it works?” A moment of silence filled the air around them, though it wasn’t much, considering how the rest of the club was still raving with noise from the music and the crowd’s cheers. Domino took a bit of time to think about the proposal before answering. “Okay,” he grumbled, grabbing the pouch from Zephyr while keeping his glare pointed at him. “I’ll take the coins. But only ’cause I’m poor now.” He then tied the pouch around the side of his tight thong that slowly slipped down due to the excess weight. “Fucking shit…” he groaned as he tried to pull the thong closer to his hip bone, hoping it would stay on until he could store the pouch in a less inconvenient location.
